Breville 3-Ear Fit

Breville's 54mm machines use a 3-ear locking mechanism that is unique to the brand. This portafilter matches that design — it locks into the group head with a quarter turn and sits flush against the gasket. Fits Barista Express, Barista Pro, Barista Touch, Bambino Plus, Infuser, and Duo Temp Pro. Does not fit Dual Boiler or Oracle (those are 58mm with 2-ear lugs).

Will this fit the Breville Bambino Plus?

Yes. The Bambino Plus uses a 54mm non-pressurized portafilter with 3-ear lugs. This portafilter fits. The original Bambino uses a pressurized system and is not compatible.

Can I still make milk drinks with a bottomless portafilter?

Yes. A bottomless portafilter works exactly like a spouted one — lock it in, pull the shot, steam your milk. The only difference is that espresso flows into a single stream instead of being split by a spout. Use a cup that fits under the group head without the spout divider.
