A stainless steel espresso distributor with a walnut handle, sized for standard 58mm portafilter baskets. Spin it on your grounds before tamping to create a level, even coffee bed. Adjustable depth to match your dose. Works with E61, Gaggia, Rocket, ECM, Profitec, Lelit, Rancilio, La Marzocco, and any machine using a 58mm portafilter with stock baskets.

How Distribution Improves Your Espresso

Grounds land unevenly after dosing — higher on one side, lower on the other, gaps and mounds throughout. Tamping on this uneven surface locks in those inconsistencies. Water finds the thin spots and channels through them. A distributor levels the surface first so the tamp creates a puck with uniform density from edge to edge.

Adjustable Depth

Thread the base up or down to set blade depth. Match it to your dose — 18g sits lower in the basket than 21g. Set once, it holds for every shot.

Solid walnut — the most popular wood across the KNODOS range. Warm brown tone, moisture-resistant, matches walnut tampers, portafilters, and stations.

When do I use the distributor in my puck prep?

After WDT, before tamping. Dose → WDT → distribute → tamp.

Is this for stock baskets or precision baskets?

58mm is for stock baskets. If you use IMS or VST precision baskets (58.5mm internal diameter), choose the 58.5mm version.

Does this replace a tamper?

No. A distributor levels. A tamper compresses. You use both in sequence.
