2-Ear Design for Breville 58mm Group Heads

The Dual Boiler, Oracle, and Oracle Jet use 58mm group heads with a 2-ear locking mechanism. This portafilter matches that design exactly — quarter turn to lock, flush fit against the group head gasket. It does not fit Breville machines with 54mm group heads (Barista Express, Barista Pro, Bambino, Infuser), which use 3-ear lugs.

18–21g Double Shot Basket

I have a Breville Oracle Touch — will this fit?

Yes. The Oracle Touch uses the same 58mm group head with 2-ear lugs as the standard Oracle and Dual Boiler. This portafilter fits all three machines.

Is a bottomless portafilter harder to use than a spouted one?

It is not harder to use — you lock it in and pull a shot the same way. The difference is that you see the extraction from below. If your puck prep is uneven, the shot may spray or channel, which is visible but not harmful. Most users find that the visual feedback helps them improve faster than using a spouted portafilter.

Why choose rosewood over walnut or maple?

Can I replace the included basket with a VST or IMS basket?
