The KNODOS 58mm Bottomless Portafilter for Breville Dual Boiler and Oracle is a naked portafilter with a 2-ear lug design and a hand-turned maple handle. It ships with an 18–21g double shot filter basket and replaces the stock spouted portafilter to give you a direct view of espresso extraction from the bottom of the basket. The open bottom reveals channeling, uneven flow, and puck prep issues instantly. Compatible with Breville Dual Boiler (BES920), Oracle (BES980), and Oracle Jet only.

Why Go Bottomless

A bottomless portafilter removes the spout and exposes the underside of the filter basket. This lets you see the espresso flow in real time — from the first drops to full stream. Channeling, uneven distribution, and grind problems become visible immediately instead of hiding behind a spout. It is the fastest way to diagnose and improve your puck prep.

2-Ear Lug for Breville Dual Boiler and Oracle

Breville's Dual Boiler, Oracle, and Oracle Jet use a 58mm group head with a 2-ear locking mechanism — different from the 3-ear design used on Breville's 54mm machines. This portafilter is built with the correct 2-ear lugs to fit these specific models.

18–21g Double Shot Filter Basket Included

The portafilter ships with a stainless steel 18–21g double shot basket. This is the standard dose range for most espresso recipes. The basket is removable for cleaning or replacement with aftermarket baskets like VST or IMS.

Maple Handle

The handle is turned from solid maple wood — a light-colored, moisture-resistant hardwood with a smooth, uniform grain. Maple is lighter in weight than walnut or rosewood, which some users prefer for a more neutral, balanced feel.
