The KNODOS 58.5mm Walnut Espresso Tamper is a calibrated, self-leveling tamper with a stainless steel ripple base and solid walnut handle. The 58.5mm base provides a closer fit in portafilter baskets that measure 58.5mm inside — common in aftermarket precision baskets from IMS, VST, and Pullman. Three interchangeable springs (20lb, 25lb, 30lb) let you set the tamping force to match your recipe. The self-leveling mechanism corrects tilt for even compression on every shot.

58.5mm Base for Precision Baskets

Stock baskets typically measure 58mm inside. Aftermarket baskets from IMS, VST, and Pullman measure 58.5mm. This tamper matches the larger diameter for a tighter fit — less untamped coffee at the edges, more even extraction.

Calibrated Self-Leveling Design

The spring mechanism applies a set force regardless of hand pressure or angle. The self-leveling base adjusts to sit flat on the coffee bed even if you press at a slight tilt.

Three Interchangeable Springs

Ships with 30lb installed, plus 25lb and 20lb replacements. Swap by unscrewing the handle — no tools needed.

Stainless Steel Ripple Base

The ripple pattern grips the coffee surface during tamping, reducing rotation and keeping the puck intact.

Walnut Handle

Solid walnut — warm mid-tone brown, moisture-resistant. Matches KNODOS walnut distributors, portafilters, and tamping stations.
