The KNODOS 58mm Bottomless Portafilter for Gaggia is a naked portafilter designed specifically for Gaggia espresso machines with the correct Gaggia 2-ear lug spacing, a dense rosewood handle, and an 18–21g double shot basket. The open bottom exposes the full underside of the filter basket for real-time extraction feedback — channeling, uneven flow, and puck prep issues become visible instantly. Fits Gaggia Classic, Classic Pro, E24, and Evo. Does not fit E61 machines or Breville.

Why Remove the Spout

The stock Gaggia portafilter hides the extraction behind two metal tubes. A bottomless portafilter shows all of it in real time — uneven flow, side channeling, and spurting become visible so you can adjust your grind, dose, or distribution to fix them.

Gaggia-Specific 2-Ear Lugs

Gaggia machines use a 58mm group head with 2-ear lugs that have different spacing from the E61 standard. This portafilter matches Gaggia's lug dimensions exactly. An E61 portafilter will not lock securely into a Gaggia group head.

18–21g Double Shot Basket

Ships with a stainless steel basket rated for 18–21 grams. Removable for cleaning or replacement with aftermarket precision baskets from IMS, VST, or similar brands.

Rosewood Handle

Dense rosewood with a dark reddish-brown grain. The heaviest handle option — adds balance to the loaded portafilter. Matches KNODOS rosewood tampers, distributors, and tamping stations.
